Axel Johnson International Trading (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., known as AxInter China — part of an international industrial group with over 200 companies in 35 countries.

As the Group’s local arm, we work exclusively with Axel Johnson International companies to provide efficient, compliant and risk-aware supply chain management for their operations across Asia.

Supporting Group Operations

Our services cover sourcing, procurement, quality assurance, supplier code of conduct assessments, and other sustainability initiatives—ensuring high standards and continuous improvement across our supply base.

On average each year, 500 TEU of goods worth over €20 million are shipped from Asia to the Group’s sales units in Europe and Australia, supported by over 20 dedicated professionals: buyers, sourcing managers, quality and inspection experts, and sustainability auditors.

Our Role in Industrial Procurement & Supplier Management

We work closely with trusted suppliers and industry partners to ensure that sourcing, quality control, and supply chain management consistently meet high industry standards.

Procurement Services – Purchasing and delivering products for internal customers, including OEM packaging.

Sourcing Services – Identifying new products and suppliers, and managing and developing the supply chain.

Quality Services – Conducting supplier audits, pre-delivery inspections, product testing, and managing specifications.

Sustainability Services – Performing supplier code of conduct audits outside Europe and providing supplier training to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Background & History

AxInter China was originally established in Ningbo on April 11, 2018, under the name Citra Supply Chain Management (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. by SCM Citra Oy. Its initial mission was to procure lifting equipment for the Lifting Solutions Group, part of the Axel Johnson International.

Development & Growth

April 2018 – Citra Supply Chain Management (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. was officially established.

March 2019 – The Ningbo office began conducting supplier code of conduct audits.

December 2020 – The company was renamed Axel Johnson International Trading (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. (安索杰国际贸易（宁波）有限公司), meaning “Safe, Connect, Excellence” in Chinese. The new name reflected its evolving role as a procurement and sustainability audit office for all business groups within Axel Johnson International.

February 2021 – Business services were launched for Power Transmission Solutions. The first pallet of bearings was shipped from the Ningbo test center.

November 2021 – Awarded ISO 9001 certification — English PDF, Chinese PDF.

2023 – Business services for Transportation Solutions companies were formally launched.
