AxInter China supports Axel Johnson International’s industrial companies through end-to-end procurement, supplier development, quality control, and sustainability services.

AxInter China employs over 20 professionals, including buyers, procurement managers, quality specialists, inspectors, and sustainability auditors. Each year, the company delivers approximately 500 TEU of products valued at over €20 million to Axel Johnson International sales units in Europe and Australia.

Quality Control

We ensure that all sourced products meet defined quality standards and comply with applicable regulations for their product category and target markets.

At our test center in Ningbo, we conduct pre-shipment inspections and a range of validation tests, including salt spray, tensile strength, and vibration testing. When required, we also collaborate with certified third-party testing laboratories in the region.

In addition, our quality managers perform supplier quality audits and manage product specifications directly with Chinese suppliers in their native language—helping ensure clear communication, alignment, and reliable product outcomes.

Comprehensive quality control at our Ningbo test center—including tensile testing, precision inspections, corrosion validation, and dimensional measurements—ensures every product meets AxInter China’s rigorous standards and regulatory requirements.

Sustainability Services

Our sustainability team supports Axel Johnson International’s commitment to ethical sourcing, environmental impact reduction, and supplier ESG development.

Key Capabilities

Sustainability Auditing – Performing structured ESG audits across high-risk supplier regions outside Europe.

Supplier Training – Providing hands-on education to suppliers on ethical practices, carbon footprint tracking, and continuous improvement.

Climate Education Tool – We recommend the free Climate Education Tool, co-developed by Axfoundation and ImpactOS, to help suppliers reduce CO₂e emissions and align with global sustainability standards.

Our Ethical Standards

We follow Axel Johnson International Supplier Code of Conduct, which defines clear expectations around:

Human rights and labor practices — fair treatment, safe working conditions, and respect for workers throughout the supply chain.

Environmental responsibility — minimizing environmental impact and encouraging sustainable production practices.

Anti-corruption and business ethics — zero tolerance for bribery, conflicts of interest, or unethical conduct.

Legal and regulatory compliance — adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and international standards.

These standards reflect our commitment to responsible sourcing, transparency, and fairness throughout the supply chain. All suppliers are expected to sign and operate in accordance with the Code of Conduct, helping ensure respectful working conditions and environmentally sound practices.

Supplier Code of Conduct audits – at a glance

These audits are independent, on-site assessments that verify a supplier’s compliance with Axel Johnson International’s Supplier Code of Conduct. The checklist below summarises each stage from planning to follow-up.

Pre-audit preparation
- Supplier signs the Code of Conduct and completes a short fact sheet (headcount, sites, basic data).
- Third-party auditors set the agenda and list of documents to review.
On-site audit (~1 day)
- Facility walk-through, document review and confidential interviews.
- Focus areas: health & safety, labor & human rights, environment and anti-corruption.
Closing meeting & report
- Findings shared the same day; a written report follows.
- Costs are covered by Axel Johnson International.
Corrective actions & follow-up
- Supplier submits an action plan; AxInter China verifies completion (desk review or return visit).
- Audits are repeated at agreed intervals based on risk and results.
